Dominik Chrzan, M.D.
Dominik Chrzan, M.D. has always been driven by discovery and adventure. He chose to become a doctor, “so I could one day travel the world and give back to the communities and people I visit.”
Dr. Chrzan completed his BS. in Biology from Gwynedd Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, close to his hometown. He spent some of his college time studying marine ecology in Australia at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
Dr. Chrzan chose to attend the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten “because it fit my personality; it was an adventure living in the Caribbean while still working towards becoming a doctor.” After two years on St. Maarten he returned to the US to complete clinical rotations in New York and Texas.
After earning his M.D., Dr. Chrzan rode his motorcycle through Central America, covering over 15,000 miles. He spent a good deal of time volunteering with medical professionals in Mexico and Guatemala as well.
After the Haiti earthquake in 2010 Dr. Chrzan joined an emergency medical response team, spending 3 weeks treating patients around the country.
He completed his Family Medicine residency in Pontiac Michigan at Doctors' Hospital of Michigan in 2013. Dr. Chrzan served as chief resident in his third year and was awarded best resident in both his PGY-1 and PGY-3 years.
Dr. Chrzan is board certified in Family Medicine and has a passionate interest in preventive medicine. He started his own practice, "medprevent" in January 2015. The practice emphasizes prevention and utilizes the most current technologies and treatment options. In this fashion Dr. Chrzan has been able to offer his patients greater accessibility and involvement in their care. The response from patients has been overwhelmingly positive.
